Operators must be at least 16 years old to participate in forklift training. Refresher training is recommended every 3–5 years, or after: an accident or a long period without operating equipment. Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), employers must ensure all operators receive adequate training. This training is delivered in line with the guidance set out in L117 Rider-operated lift trucks Approved Code of Practice and guidance.

Certification

On successful completion of the course, operators will receive a certificate of training issued by OR Forklift Training LTD.
